Transcontinenta is the largest photo import company for Dutch retail in global A-brands. The company supplies 9.000 different articles to 3.000 customers.
Customer satisfaction is key for logistic companies: inventory always has to be correct and customers must receive the correct products on time.
Better insight
“Transcontinenta is very satisfied with BOXwise. Product delivery is much more efficient now than it used to be,” says director Gerrie Geijssen. “We hardly ever receive complaints about incorrectly supplied products. The system tells us exactly what is packaged in which box, so afterwards we can easily check what was sent when and to whom.”
Catch up on backlog
“Product delivery must take place as efficiently as possible, at the lowest possible cost. Since Transcontinenta has started working with BOXwise our three warehouse employees enjoy their work more. Gerrie Geijssen: “Two days after BOXwise was implemented they had fully caught up on the backlog. Training was hardly necessary, because everything works so logically. The employees in the warehouse are coming to work happy again.”
Pleasant and intuitive
Moreover, for Transcontinenta staff work has also become clearer. “Customers often send us multiple orders per day. BOXwise automatically combines the orders, including back orders that have become available. The combination of touchscreen and scanner is pleasant and can be used intuitively. Our employees have already indicated that they wouldn’t want it any other way any more.”
The introduction of bar codes and BOXwise to our work floor clearly reduced the amount of returned shipments.
